Occasionally when dave bircumshaw and I are on the phone, the line, for no
apparent reason, will suddenly drop by several decibels. Baffling.
Then when we were on the phone earlier today, It All Became Clear.
I'd mentioned something to do with washing-up, and seconds later it
happened --inaudibility strikes again.
Well, if you think about it, the answer is obvious -- someone has a trace of
the phone, either dave's or mine, with some incredibly thick voice
recognition software. When I said "washing-up", they (or It) thought I said
"Washington", and immediately little red alarms began ringing ...
