I have a problem at an iron foundry that I provide a service to. The workforce are provided with toughened glass in their prescription safety glasses but on Monday one guy bent down, his glasses dropped off and shattered over the foundry floor. The glass is toughened and is supposed to meet the BS standards. The concern is the fact that there are many hazards to the eyes in the foundry and it is essential that the glass can withstand impact from metal and heat.
If anyone has any thoughts, can offer me advice or has experienced a similar issue I would appreciate some feedback. Obviously I am going to speak to the supplier.
Many thanks
