POSTDOCTORAL POSITION in EXPERIMENTAL REACTION KINETICS available now.
The research involves the development and application of spectroscopic techniques to isolate and characterize elementary gas-phase radical
reactions as a function of temperature and pressure. A particular focus will be on the atmospheric and combustion chemistry of sulfur-containing
species. Flash photolysis and fast-flow methods will be used together with resonance and laser-induced fluorescence monitoring of short-lived
species. The successful candidate will have prior experience with laser methods, excellent communication skills, and be no further than two
years beyond the Ph.D. degree. There will also be opportunities to participate in computational quantum chemistry studies of these systems.
Please send your application including CV, list of publications and a summary of research accomplishments/interests to Paul Marshall,
Department of Chemistry, University of North Texas, Denton, Texas 76203-5070; [log in to unmask] and website www.chem.unt.edu/~marshall.
