Hello everybody,
I am a midwife from Germany and at present I am undertaking a Masters
programme in Midwifery at Aberdeen University.
Areas of interest are antenatal care and risk. I am planning to do my
dissertation on the influence of the label of high risk pregnancy on the self-image
of women and the effect when the label they are given by their obstetrician
does not agree with their own perception (German antenatal records contain a
very detailed risk catalogue. According to that catalogue Germany has a very
high percentage of high risk pregnancies. The vast majority of women have
their antenatal care done by an obstetrician) Currently I am looking for a
quantitative scale of self-image - does anybody know about such a scale?
Many thanks.
Katja
