I am bursting with vicarious pride that my (our) colleague Ellen Blix has
just had a paper published in the Journal of the Norwegian Medical
Association, on oxytocin augmentation of women in labour at her workplace.
There is an abstract in English at

Ellen presented at ICM in Vienna on the labour admission test, and if any of
you are attending the European Congress of Perinatal Medicine in Oslo next
month you can hear her present two talks there as well. We don't have many
midwife doctoral candidates in this tiny country but Ellen does the work of
at least three excellent ones.

can get without leaving the country, and preparing to visit her next week
for a strictly above the belt day, about breastfeeding
