We would certainly welcome a system that would spread the requests
about a bit ... and I'm sure that the libraries with requests currently
sitting in our ever-growing backlog would agree :-)
The oddest thing to come out of us receiving direct requests
has been the number of seemingly obscure books that we now have waiting
lists for!

PS ... and circumstances (maternity leave, major operation leave, trial
of a new ILL system and closure of two reading rooms so more ILL
requests from our own readers) are conspiring to make the backlog even
longer :-(
