Dear Colleagues,
This is potentially a very serious situation for BEI/ERIC users.
Rosemary is absolutely right to underline the 80% point [threat?],
which I was completely unaware of. If you have a colleague working in this
area, who perhaps is away on leave [for schools half term holidays for
instance, as I was] where you work or in another institution, please MAKE
SURE THEY ARE AWARE OF THE SITUATION and sign up by FRIDAY 15TH.
Cheers John

Subject: Education datasets
Following all our concerns on this subject, I thought I'd better
highlight another issue which LISE members may not have picked up.
We have been asked to commit by Friday 15th to ensure continued access
past the end of February. BUT not only was the web address from which
to download the form not accessible at the end of last week, but even,
having acted, we then discovered that the continuation will not happen
unless 80% of existing subscribers agree to re-subscribe for the short
term. Given the timescales, this could be a problem, so it may well be
worth chasing/checking up on your Chest/Electronic datasets person, or
whoever should have dealt with this within your institutions.
