Now that we have all started to move our websites and other IT services
steadily towards the requirements of SENDA and DDA, the Software Group has
put together a one-day Conference to help members make that final step to
compliance. The event will be held at the Manchester Conference Centre,
UMIST, and will cover a variety of topics including: assistive technologies,
legislation, implementations across networks. The Conference is supported by
TechDis and the Disability Team at UMIST. We have also been promised a talk
from the National Disability Team on current HEFCE initiatives and reports
on few ongoing projects. Our guest speaker is Dan Comden, Adaptive
Technology Lab, University of Washington.
The Conference Centre, is a 5 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly
station.
