Dear Sirs
I am writing to you as the secretary of the British Standards Institution
committee responsible for the field of Optics and optical instruments in
relation to it's work dealing with Surveying Instruments. This committee
shadows the work of the ISO standards committee dealing with surveying
instruments, and at present the UK committee has no expert in the field of
Surveying Instruments.
I would therefore be grateful if you are able to recommend to me a suitable
person, possibly a university departmental head or an instrument
manufacturer, or perhaps, indicate where I may search further to find a
suitable expert, with both practical and theoretical knowledge of the
optical instruments involved in the field of surveying, who may be prepared
to read these draft standards and to offer comments on them as part of the
UK contribution to the international standardization in the field of
Surveying Instruments.
I thank you for your time and trust that you may be able to offer some help
to me in this matter,
Yours faithfully
W.G.Buckingham William Buckingham [[log in to unmask]]
