OOPS-164: MOJO: MASCOT Rejuvinated - Java framework for multi-threading in
OO systems
Speaker: Allan Clearwaters, Object Forge
Venue: Logica/Oxford Street (see below)
(Admission Free. No pre-registration required. See below.)
MASCOTıs primary aim was (and remains) to define a platform and
implementation independent approach to the definition, implementation, and
deployment of multi-tasking/multi-threaded systems.
MOJO re-implements and extends MASCOT in a modern context, retaining the
elegance of the original concept while adding several new features that
extend its power and coverage.
The MASCOT Machine runs systems described by ACP diagrams; this relationship
will be explained with examples from MOJO. Following the talk attendees with
a laptop (and at least Java 1.3 installed) will be able to run the MOJO demo
package and participate in a small workshop where they will modify the
demoıs deployment behavior.
