Oh, Jaysus, Tilla
this is so typical of what has been going on here in the last few years.
Arts admin. people are enthusiastically shutting down everything that
doesn't fit into their bourgeois patterns, with the moral support of even
one of our listowners, sorry, cris, but it's come down to this.
And this space is on the hit-list too.
Best (in sadness)

Subject: SOS PULPING BOOKS
Dear Brit poets,
I've just heard from Rupert Loydell of Stride that his repping company is
not
renewing contracts for him or any of the small presses they've worked with.
There was an Arts Council meeting today which may have come up with
something, otherwise this means as he says he's nowhere to put his books
that they'll be pulped as he's only got til Jan 31st.
I've offered temporary space if its realistic, but has anyone out there got
a
barn or other suggestions to help him out?
At the moment he's putting everything on the market for £1, money up front.
This is a guy who's put 25 years into publishing eclectic and sometimes
adventurous stuff.........
Tilla
