Hi, I'm approaching Heidegger from a political science
perspective, not a philosophical one, yes his work is
demanding and complex, this should be acknowledged,
although some might say that it is wilfully obscure
and a waste of time involving onself with.
As for Richard's comments, my God, why can't Richard
learn to read? Hitler's 'Socialism' was the direct
opposite of Bolshevism or Marxism, which is why he
advised his soldiers in Russia to disregard any form
of proper treatment for commisars (and since almost
anyone in the East could be a Commisar...) rather as
Bush today won't extend the Geneva Convention to
Taliban prisoners who he calls 'battlefield
detainees', not POWs. Bush is the true inheritor of
the legacy of Hitler, and a willing pupil, since he is
both rabidly anti-Communist (which has now
metamporphosed into the Al Q network), and disdainful
of any form of international treaty, international
law, or any other obstacle to his bid to dominate and
rule the world, and enslave everyone else to his will.
Bush will call this the conquest of markets, we know
that Bush will conquer those markets at gunpoint, and
any pretext, such as Sept 11th will give him the
opportunity to invade and destroy regimes (Saddam,
Milosevic, Mullah Omar), who are all in their turn
very like Hitler. No, the one who is very like Hitler
is George Bush, his sinister minions and creatures
(Orcs) who he feeds with rancid and decaying flesh, no
doubt he (Bush) will turn out to be a 12 foot, blood
drinking lizard (does this remind you of a certain
ex-goalkeeper?)....
ciao,
Paul Murphy
