Emma,
Our style sheets (Teesside's) work fine on documents that you insert
into Blackboard or access from Blackboard. However, if you use them to
format materials directly in Blackboard (e.g. in an announcement), they will
overwrite the stylesheets that are built into Blackboard and this can cause
it to look odd or even make some things unavailable. I would guess this is
true for any style sheet. So use them to format materials that will be used
in Bb, but not to format Bb content.
Cheers,
Bruce

Subject: Using Stylesheets in Blackboard - any advice?
Hi,
At UWE, we've received a number of queries from staff about using
stylesheets within Blackboard content, and would like to form a
policy and create some general guidelines.
We've seen the helpful accessibility guidelines produced by the
University of Teesside at
http://www.tees.ac.uk/cll/readability/home.htm , but have also
found a warning against the use of stylesheets in Blackboard at:
http://www.upenn.edu/newtools/blackboard/best.html
Does anybody have any advice to share on this, please?
Thanks,
Emma
