BLACK WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS ARE GIVEN ROUTEMAP TO SUCCESS
The National Black Women's Network (NBWN), Lloyds TSB Plc and Business Link
for London, the small business advice and support service for the capital,
are hosting an essential seminar for women who wish to create, build or
manage their forgotten but most powerful asset - their business brand.
"Route map to Success", the third in the series of NBWN's 'Lets Talk
Business' seminars, is an opportunity for leading business professionals to
share with the audience, techniques on how to develop fresh, smart and
innovative ways to build their own unique business brand."
The aim of this event is to show entrepreneurs, regardless of size, how to
effectively plan the progress and growth of their business, enabling them to
focus more clearly on the areas that are key to overall success.
"Route Map to Success", will be chaired by the UK's "First Lady of Comedy"
and Choice FM radio presenter Angie Le Mar. The panel of experts speaking
on the night include Ruth Djang (ABI Associates Ltd); Suzy Rigg (Focus
Consulting); Uday Dholakia (Global Consulting (UK) Ltd) and oneLondon
business adviser, Viv Scantlebury. All our speakers will offer
experience-based, pragmatic advice to help businesses achieve and maintain
success on an ongoing basis.
Presentations will be followed by group work sessions led by Graeme Cann
(Lloyds TSB) based on the excellent RouteMap(tm) business tool.
"RouteMap(tm) is both helpful and thought-provoking," explained Paul
Gillard, Area Office Manager (Lloyds TSB Bank Plc). "It provides an
excellent opportunity to consider areas you may not yet have thought about,
whether it's a legal issue or what your competitors are charging for a
similar product or service. It will stimulate both questions and ideas and
give you a sense of your strengths and weaknesses, so you can plan your new
business more effectively to make sure you get the best possible start"
More than speakers, group work and networking, Route Map to Success gives
entrepreneurs the opportunity to establish strong and viable business by
taking your creative ideas and turning them into a clear roadmap for
success.
The event takes place on Thursday 21st November 2002 at Lloyds TSB Bank Plc,
71 Lombard Street, London EC1 between 6:00pm and 9:30pm.
Tickets for this event are priced at £10 for non-members and free for

We need your support to circulate this message to as many black women (and
men) who would benefit from attending this event by email or good ole
fashioned, word of mouth.
Whether its family members, friends or work colleagues - by taking the above
action you will be demonstrating your commitment to the most success
orientated and dynamic women in the country. Imagine, an event open to the
most enterprising women of colour, who are committed to the successful
management of their personal and professional lives; and YOU played a part
in making happen.
