Hi everyone
On the EveryGeneration website(www.everygeneration.co.uk)
We will preparing information on the site over the next few weeks on an
alternative version of 100 Great Britains(currently being televised by BBC)
to inform the public and black communities who are unaware of or
misinformed of the100 Great Britains nominations and to promote black
people who are equally great.
Its clear from the general nomination process that the general public are
completely ignorant of black people who have also made significant
contribution to Britain.This further marginalises the meaning of black
history month and alll our efforts to reclaim history.
I would appreciate any information regarding racist comments,actions where
the 100 Great Britons have made which been detrimental to bme communities;
or where black people and from minority ethnic communities have made a
relevant contribution but have not been recognised or their achievements
/inventions have been plagurised or stolen etc.
Finally, i would like your opinion on who you would nominate on your 10
top(with reasons why)?
I would appreciate your feedback and contribution.
