Warwickshire County Council is currently engaged in a Electronic Document
Management pilot project involving the Property Services Directorate,
Records Management and CAMS (our IT people) which will run until March
2003. I would be interested to hear from anyone who is also actively
pursuing EDM - especially those involved in local authority Records
Management to compare notes etc.
We are piloting a Lotus products Domino.doc and Knowledgshare and for the
Records Management element intend to pilot Tarian e-records engine
providing it gains PRO approval.
Another question has arisen which we are not tackling at this stage of the
project concerning the bulk scanning or microfilming of vital records for
disaster recovery and business continuity. The question has been raised in
relation to title deeds held by Legal Services which currently occupy
around 600 linear ft. If anyone has any similar experience or can offer
advice I would like to hear from you.
Please reply off list and I'll post a summary,
