Dear all
Thank you to everyone who responded to my email earlier this week.
Today I received a forwarded copy of an email from Dr Amina Wakefield of
Salford along similar lines. Amina is not on our list, so has asked me to
forward her mail. Replies by tomorrow would be appreciated.

Dear All
Some of you have contacted me over the last few months seeking advice on how
to deal with the Libyan Embassy regarding the issue of fees. I have just
returned from Libya where I had a meeting with the Director of Europe at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thanks to a meeting with HM Ambassador Dalton
who requested the meeting on mybehalf, I was able to convey the concerns of
those institutions who have experienced delays in receiving fees from some
Libyan students.
The Director for Europe promised to intervene in this matter and has asked
me to fax a list of the names of the institutions awaiting payment by the
Libyan Embassy. He also wants an indication of the size of the debts. To
progress this matter, I would be grateful if you could let me have these
details by Friday so that I can get back to Libya.
Best Regards
Dr Amina Wakefield
