> That sounds an interesting idea. Maybe you should patent it

Thank you for your encouragement. This group is the correct forum to post the idea for
you professionals who work in accessibility for the disabled to bring up at your
meetings. I gladly put the idea in the public domain in the hope that the building
industries worldwide will implement it. One paragraph said it all. It is simple and its
cheap. It shouldn't be too difficult to do an experiment on and arrive at an acceptable
design. Nothing gets wrecked in the process. If I am given the credit that will be great.
Perhaps calling it the MOK Slide might get us there [ :-) smiley.] If not the satisfaction
of seeing one's idea implemented is good enough.
I am a home inventor who is in the final stages of engineering development of a device
that will enable severely disabled persons to use their tongue to manipulate a computer
mouse and to control other assistive devices. This I am patenting. Although I cannot
disclose the details at this time there are two patented devices in this category at 1.
http://www.newabilities.com and 2. U.S. Patent number 6,222,524, an IBM invention
that has not been commercialized. An excellent review of devices aimed at this market
can be found at http://www.jan.wvu.edu/media/altinput.html.
