The book sounds beautiful, Peter, and her notes sound especially
fascinating. I'll try to get hold of it. I'm very interested in
those intersections of science and the humanities. It seems much
more of a tradition in German, where they had a tradition of things
like Buchner's paper On the Physiology of Fish (a really beautiful
piece of writing and apparently still a classic on the subject).
