Hi Karen,
I aware of just one study which sought to identify priorities for midwifery
research specifically. The reference for the study is:
Sleep J, Renfrew MJ, Dunn A, Garcia J (1995) Establishing priorities for
midwifery research: report of a Delphi survey. British Journal of Midwifery,
3(6), 323-331.
Having reviewed some of the literature on consensus generation and the Delphi
technique, the above study is, in my opinion, a methodologically rigourous
piece of research.
Regards,
Declan

>Dear Members
>I am currently working on a project identifying research and development
priorities for midwives in a large maternity unit. I would be grateful if any
members were aware of other projects which have aimed to identify midwifery
R&D priorities or of any R&D strategies with specific midwifery priorities. I
am especially interested in any international strategies.
>Many Thanks
