For info the thermo pen is available in the UK from TechnoVision ltd
http://www.techno-vision.co.uk/
The pen may not feature on the website but try giving them a call.
The pen in fact comes in 2 forms, 1 mains powered and the other battery.
While a very useful device for drawing simple maps and diagrams I'd suggest
using with care. The raised lines achieved using the pen are not as well
defined as when using a thermal printer such as the HotSpot and degrade
quite quickly with use.
also remember when writing in raised print that you will have to write much
larger than for normal printed text, an inch in height for each individual
letter is about the smallest acceptible size for reading by touch.
