IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 7TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN
PHILOSOPHY OF PHYSICS

Graduate students are invited to submit papers on any topic in the
philosophy of logic, mathematics or physics. As of November 22 confirmed
speakers for the departmental conference include Lawrence Sklar (University
of Michigan, Ann Arbor), Lee Smolin (Perimeter Institute for Theoretical
Physics), and Robert Rynasiewicz (Johns Hopkins University).
Papers cannot be longer than 4000 words. Presentations will be limited to 25
minutes and will be followed by a 10 minute commentary and a 15 minute
question period.
Please submit papers by mail (in duplicate) or by e-mail. Submissions must
be postmarked (or e-mailed) by 18 February, 2002. They should be prepared
for blind review, and should be accompanied by an abstract (no longer than
300 words), as well as a cover sheet containing the author's name,
institutional affiliation, title of the paper, mailing and e-mail addresses,
and telephone number(s).
The program committee expects to make its decisions by 1 April 2002 and
should have funding available to cover part of the speakers' expenses.
Accommodations will be made available to visiting graduate students.
