Hi Wisal,
Sorry for a bit of a delay but the book by Briane Thorne called `Carl
Rogers' has a section on challenges to the model and answers given, which I
enjoyed reading and may prove useful. Buber who looked at the live `here and
now` therapeutic relationship had several challenges to the way the person
centred model was more focessed on being with the client`s experience
(client's material) without so much reference to the live encounter (how the
therapist was experiencing the client). I think differences between the two
can be very interesting to work with and I also happen to think experienced,
contempary PCers do that without losing the particular warmth of Roger's
approach.
cheers
bob
