Hello
Why not join the Free Census project? All you need is a computer and access
to a microfiche reader. Currently 450 people worldwide are working on 40+
projects to transcribe the 1891 census returns and place them online - for
FREE.
Cornwall 1891 & Cornwall 1841 returns can be seen on
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~kayhin/ukocp.html
and Devon 1891 returns via the Devon Genuki pages.
In Devon and Cornwall there is also the OPC (Online Parish Clerk) scheme;
200 individuals have adopted a parish and are transcribing and compiling
records, usually the parish registers. These will eventually end up on the
FreeReg database, another online 'free-to-view' database.
