This is the call for papers for the official WiG (Women in German) panel at
the GSA conference 2002 in San Diego:
Women in right wing movements: Zwischen "Arterhaltung" und
Karriereleiter
The panel addresses reasons for women to be active participants
in right wing movements and political parties in 20th century
Germany,including contemporary developments. Questions of women-specific
agendas in the extreme right as well as their particular role should be
discussed.
Since this phenomenon is a multi-faceted one, we would like to
invite papers from different fields, and thus provide an
interdisciplinary approach to the topic. These fields include (but are
not limited to) German studies,history,Jewish studies,literature,media
and film studies,political science,
psychology, sociology, women's studies, etc.
Deadline is January 15, 2002. No submissions will be accepted later.
