I do not see how Warrens message that caused all the furore could have been
shorter more on topic or more important to the ongoing discussion.
I think some folk have just been exposed to too many "carry on" films and
can pry double meanings out of anything.
Returning to the main topic does anyone have any data on improved percieved
comfort from head restraint mechanisms that allow the head to rest naturally
forward rather than being held rigidly vertical? Subjectively we do seem to
be able to run longer tests more easily in this configuration.
With respect to head mounted ete trackers this is not the cure all suggested
as the head does not have any really solid places to mount devices on. our
best results come from mounts that use a nose rest but even then we get
errors of several tenths of degrees.which still limit the ability to hold an
image on the retina sufficiently still to get fade. Direct VOR compensation
seems the only way.

Dear colleagues,
I think I can understand what Sally Clapp wanted to say. It is not only the
question of some smutty innuendo, but also a fact that this email list is
read by few hundred people and most of them are not interested in plain
chating. There are other places to chat. Man should be careful what to send
here and consider whether his/her thought is really worth of sending and try
to reduce mails up to two lines. Well, this is my oppinion on this subject.
:-)
By the way, we also use to have problems with people with dark eyes and
because some funny reflections from eye lids. We even have tried to use face
powder on the lids to prevent these reflections, but without bigger success.
Sometimes helps some alchemy with all the controls and setting. Sometimes
the people with dark eyes better trackable in higher part of their visual
field - but it can be unusuable in cases. That's why we use to inform our
clients that they have to take into account that not all test person will be
meassurable by eye tracking.
Yours sincerely
