Dear All,
there have been several crashes of computers in studios 1-3, and one
of the reasons is that several of you are using a *lot* of plug-ins
simultaneously - particularly the GRM Tools.
GRM Tools plug-ins use a significantly larger amount of computer
processing power than other plug-ins, and if you have several GRM
Tools plug-ins running then the computers will, unfortunately, slow
down, and possibly crash.
One sign that this may be happening is if the TIME COUNTER in
ProTools is not going round smoothly, and/or if the track LEVEL
METERS are going up and down very intermittently.
"How do I get around this ?" I hear you ask... well, if you have a
completed track with plug-in effects on, then you can bounce this
track down... creating a NEW audio file with the effects on it. You
can then get rid of the plug-ins and import this new file into your
session.
TO FIND OUT how to BOUNCE TO DISK, look on EMS LEARN under the HOW TO pages....

If you are still unsure about this, come and ask !
