HI all,
I was reading an article last night by N.M. Hadler entitled "Back pain in
the workplace - What you lift or how you lift matters far less than whether
you lift or when." It discussed the fact that despite so many studies and
research into the "proper" way we should be lifting and sitting, it seems
that the ergonomic track record is (in his own words) so dismal. He goes on
to say that "even if regional backache is not caused by what we do, it is
certainly exacerbated by what we do." He concludes by stating that
"ergonomics must turn from the quest to prevent back injuries to the quest
for enhancing the ability of a person with a backache to cope."
What do you think??
Wish everyone have a merry x'mas and a wonderful new year!! Happy holidays!
