This year's Online Information Exhibition (2001) will be held at the Grand
Hall, Olympia in London from 4-6 December (for venue and timing details see

The UK Data Archive will be demonstrating its suite of user friendly Web
pages and methods for searching, browsing and downloading data resources
relating to the social sciences and humanities. The key features of the
site include detailed information about a huge range of datasets, including
the major government surveys; an easy to use online registration, ordering
and downloading system; the NESSTAR system for browsing, exploring and
downloading data online; and pages aimed at both supporting users and
informing them about news and activities relating to data.
Nesstar Ltd. will be demonstrating its unique range of products, namely
1. Data Explorer - our specialist web browser for data and data
services. It is downloadable for free from our web page and allows you to
explore a range of data services provided by data archives, regional
observatories and a growing range of data providers.
2. Data Server - the specialist web server that allows the
professional data provider to set up an interactive data publishing and
dissemination service, viewable via the Data Explorer or a standard web
browser.
3. Web engine - the toolkit that provides a layer on top of the server
that provides the data discovery and browsing functionality via a standard
web browsers
4. Data Publisher - the publishing tools needed to convert and enhance
statistical data and publish them on a server.
