I don't believe there is a definitive answer to this as yet. This is, in part, because several of the eurozone countries have not
yet set there own deadlines and bank-to-bank exchange of notes can take place for many years to come. The best advice I have been
given at UK branch level is to exchange by February 2002 'to be safe'.
