TUTOR History of Design/Critical and Historical Studies School of
Humanities £27,300-£30,400 pro rata
The Royal College of Art is seeking to appoint a part-time (0.75) Tutor in
History of Design. The post will involve teaching on the joint RCA/V&A
History of Design programme and contributing to the College-wide courses
run by the Department of Critical and Historical Studies. There will also be
the opportunity to supervise appropriate MPhil/PhD students.
Candidates should have a higher degree and preferably a doctorate. It is
expected that the post holder will maintain an active interest in a relevant
area through research and publication. Preference will be given to
applicants with a research interest in 19th and 20th century Fashion &
Textiles and a familiarity with contemporary theory.
