Hold on a minute there, doesn't one intubated and anaesthetised patient on
any sort of machine require one nurse and one doctor at all times? You can't
knock ED anaesthetic machines on that basis! We will always have ventilated
patients in our EDs, we can't really get round that. Better to have them
connected to decent ventilators rather than to an ambu bag plus some
propofol, isn't it? And I would've thought the former would be less labour
intensive than the latter...
