Invitation: Mathcad 2001i Free Launch Seminar, Tuesday 11th December 2001
From 10am till approx. 1:30pm
New Mathcad 2001i has just been announced, and we would like to invite you
to a special Launch Seminar in London on 11th December to introduce this
latest version to you.
As well as showing you how the latest incarnation of Mathcad can help you
manage and progress your workflow better, the Seminar is also your
opportunity to hear and meet Chris Randles, Chairman and CEO of MathSoft
Engineering & Education Inc. Chris is travelling to the UK specifically for this
event, as he is especially keen to hear the views and needs of Mathcad users in
the UK. He will be pleased to answer your questions and will welcome your
suggestions for the future development of the Mathcad product range.
Also on hand will be Adept Scientific's newly-appointed Mathcad specialist, Dr
Samir Khan, who will demonstrate the new version to you. Samir, whose background
is in engineering and who has considerable teaching experience at undergraduate
level, is further developing our popular Mathcad Training Courses in the UK, and
he'll be delighted to discuss your training needs with you.
Other MathSoft and Adept personnel will be there too, and we'll all be
pleased to hear your questions and opinions, either in open discussion or
privately afterwards.
The half-day Seminar (which is free of charge) will be held at the
Institute of Materials, Carlton House Terrace, London SW1. It begins at 10
am, and will conclude with a buffet lunch with the compliments of Adept
Scientific and MathSoft. A map showing you how to reach the Institute of
Materials is at http://www.adeptscience.co.uk/go?pg=I63
If you haven't used Mathcad 2001 yet, you will be impressed by the great
advances the software has made in terms of speed, performance and
functionality. Close interoperability with your other desktop applications,
including Microsoft Word, Excel, MATLAB, Visio, SmartSketch, AutoCAD, Access and
other ODBC-compliant databases, makes it easy to integrate Mathcad solutions
into your projects (Mathcad 2001i extends support to the latest versions of
these applications, and also supports the latest Windows XP). Advanced
authoring, Web publishing and application development tools make it easier to
roll out solutions to colleagues across your organisation and to students in the
classroom. Enhanced and extended mathematical functionality makes more problems
easily solvable with Mathcad (Mathcad 2001i delivers particular improvements in
the handling of differential equations). Superior data visualisation and
parametric drawing tools are joined by a new, integrated simulation and
modelling application, VisSim LE. And Mathcad can now even sample live data, via
an analogue I/O card from National Instruments or (new to 2001i) Measurement
Computing.
For more information on Mathcad 2001i, visit our website at
http://www.adeptscience.co.uk/go?pg=I64 or call our Mathcad technical team
on 01462 480055.
To register for this event, please reply to this email or call me on 01462
480055. Space is limited, and we'll have to allocate places on a "first
come, first served" basis, so please contact me as soon as you can. I look
forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Sharon Robinson
