TEACHING MATERIAL DESIGNER
£20,267 - £26,229 p.a.
As part of its commitment to an innovative national masters training
package, a Teaching Material Designer is required to work alongside
colleagues in the development and design of web based distance learning
material, at postgraduate and undergraduate level, in a number of marine
technology and general engineering subject areas.
Applications are invited from graduates in an engineering discipline,
preferably with some knowledge of marine technology. Previous experience
in the development of distance learning courses or other training
programmes, including the researching of appropriate material is
essential.
Applicants must have excellent information and communication technology
skills including MS Office, graphics/publishing packages and, if
possible, HTML. Knowledge of current learning technology developments,
the learning cycle and distance learning techniques would be useful.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with others
but under their own initiative and will need to be highly motivated and
enthusiastic. Other key attributes include good presentation and
personal communication skills, excellent time management skills and an
ability to take responsibility for their work.
The post is tenable initially for two years and may be renewed
thereafter.
