The Department of Languages is a growing academic discipline
situated within the recently formed Faculty of Education and
Language Studies. The Department specialises in the teaching of
and research in modern Languages, and we are seeking to appoint
three full-time temporary Lecturers to join our academic team
based in Milton Keynes. We are looking for somebody who will
contribute to the development of our French and German
Programmes, including our new ab initio courses.
Applications are invited from graduates with a native or near-native
competence in German and/or French. Wide experience of
language teaching, particularly at all levels, including at ab initio
level and to adult students is also essential. You should also have
experience in the development of language learning materials,
preferably for open learning, and knowledge and experience of
assessment and language competence standards.
The appointments will be made from the earliest possible date at
an appropriate point on the Academic salary scale £20,267 -
£24,193 or £25,203 - £32,215 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience.
