Dear All,
First, I would like to thank Frank and Rosangela
for the valuable information.
Regarding the above development, there was a timely meeting
on the convention on the rights of disabled persons in
Tokyo today, organized by Japan DPI, with the
participation of Mr. Joshua Malinga, DPI world chair.
We were informed that the government of Mexico
was taking the initiative for the convention at the Third Committee and
EU, which blocked the convention at the Human Rights
Commission last year according to Disablity Tribune,
as well as "usual suspects", namely,
Japan and U.S.A. are major opponents.
For those who can lobby their governments,
this IS the time to do so.
Good luck to us all.
Best regards.
NAGASE Osamu
Yokohama, Japan
