There is , in fact a paper in the journal of
anaesthetists which backs up the use of flumazanil in
1994 after cardioversion (post using hypnoval)
So maybe look that one up.
It does however have a fairly "violent" displacing
effects which can, on some patients cause fits or so I
am told.
Never use the stuff (anexate) myself in A/E - your
either asleep or you ain't. I let you sleep things off
unless I've given you to much but again if you get the
dose and speed of hypnoval admin just right then you
wont have these problems. (that much he qualifies
hastily)
