italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear Colleagues,
I am searching for material containing Venetian reactions to
English/American writing on Venice at the turn of the century, especially
reactions to the work of John Ruskin, Henry James, and Ezra Pound. I am
also looking for Venetian reactions to the Futurists and their repudiation
of "Venezia passatista." If anyone could point me to late 19th/early 20th
century journals or newspapers that might contain this sort of thing--or
even recent scholarship that might ponder these matters--I would be very
grateful.
Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to offer.
Best regards,
Jennifer Scappettone
