A small point Andy, but one near to my heart! Just as we don't "put people
to sleep" and "re-awaken them", neither do we "restart" their hearts or put
them on "life support" machines. While all patients, most medical students
and some nurses believe that we "relocate" a dislocated joint, using such a
phrase in a medical environment is sacrilegious! Using such a term in the
fellowship exam would rapidly lead to an almost certain doom! Surgeons, and
all doctors for that matter, reduce dislocated joints - we do not relocate
them. By all means use such terminology for the patient's benefit, but
please don't use it in the presence of medical students, nurses and other
doctors!
