Dear All,
here is a digest of a few recurrent problems people seem to be having...
1(a). SoundHack ONLY works with 16 bit audio files - so if you can't
seem to play an audio file *look* at the file's info window to
determine if it's 16 or 24 bit ! You can convert 24 bit files to 16
bit using SoundAppFAT or ConvertMachine.
1(b). PLEASE make ProTools sessions 16 BIT (NOT 24 !!!!) Audio files
will not play in the majority of other applications if they are made
at 24 bit.
2. DSP usage--> if you get a message saying that ProTools is running
low on DSP, it means that the system cannot enable any more real-time
plug-ins (i.e. RTAS or TDM type plug-ins). DSP is not unlimited !
It's also expensive, so use it prudently. If you need more juice,
trying bouncing down what you already have in your session and then
start over with extra plug-in effects.
3. In the Control Room
--> problem: "I can't hear anything!"
--> solution : try engaging the O-N function of the amplifier
4. Finally - you can always READ THE MANUAL or consult EMS LEARN'S
'HOW TO' pages if you get stuck ;-)
thanks
Ian
