Dear Audrey and others
If you are concerned not to spread viruses, please do not send messages in
HTML format. If you are using Outlook Express you may not realise that is
what you are doing, but what I and presumably others receive is a message
with an HTML attachment.
PLEASE set your mailer to send plain text messages only. If you use
Outlook Express, better still change to a mailer that does not default to
HTML, like Outlook (not Outlook Express) if you want to stay with
Microsoft.
As I understand it, to send messages in plain text: In Outlook Express on
the Tools - Options - Send menu make sure that Plain Text is selected.
Individual messages can also be set on the format menu when they are open.
Check also the properties in the address book (send tab in Outlook
Express) and make sure that plain text is set In Exchange make sure that
"send in rich text format" is >>not<< selected.
Thanks
John
