I'm quite clearly living in a different country! I haven't the faintest
idea what this is about.

I don't follow this strand at all.
Victoria asked for resposes from people who have PAO's active in their area
so that she can report on the PA pilot schemes usefulness or (possibly) not.
All we seem to be getting is replies from people who do not have them, and
say so!
So far there have been no reported finds from Jupiter but MDs may be active
on Europa.

No impact at all in B&NES and sources tell me that MD's are active in the
area.

Subject: Portable Antiquities
Dear All
I am looking for some help from my fellow SMR officers. On the
27th September I will be giving a short presentation on the impact
of the Portable Antiquities Pilot Scheme on SMR's to the IFA Finds
Group meeting in Birmingham. This is intended to be a largely
personal response to the working of the scheme in Worcestershire.
but I would like to set my experiences in some sort of context. The
review of the scheme by Gill Chitty is very useful but I would be
VERY grateful for direct comments (good, bad, indifferent - all in
confidence) from other parts of the country.
Thanks in anticipation
