Abstracts are welcome in the areas of local initiatives in regeneration or
locally based partnerships that govern and manage regeneration. We expect
most abstracts to be centred on UK development but this is not exclusive. The
purpose of the workshop is to consider the role of regeneration and the
complexity of its management and governance against a backdrop of locally
based regeneration projects and initiatives.
It would be helpful to submit abstracts to Professor Alan Townsend,
International Centre for Regional Regeneration and Development Studies,
Department of Geography, University of Durham, Durham DH1 3LE by Monday
September 10th 2001, clearly indicating the empirical nature of the work
underway. The subject matter, may refer to work in progress.
Places will be limited to no more than 25 participants. There is no fee for
attendance and lunch is provided. Full papers are expected to be in the range
of 4000 words.
You can see a selection of abstracts and papers from last years workshop at
the following web site: http://www.dur.ac.uk/alan.southern/rmrw2.htm
I hope this helps but do contact me with any further specific questions.
