Hello all
With unemployment being at the lowest level for a generation many employers
are finding it difficult to recruit and keep good staff.
The recent discussions on the UKplayworkers list about concerns that the
OFSTED standards have caused, have made me think that perhaps UKplayworkers
should work on a suggested "Recruitment and Retention Strategy".
This strategy could be used as an ideal strategy by play providers
throughout the UK when recruiting staff.
If you have any comments or information you would like added to the strategy
please e-mail me [log in to unmask] and I will develop a draft
proposal for members to have a look at.
I have set a time limit for this - the deadline date is Friday 28th of
September 2001.
I will send further posts asking specific questions - any help that you can
provide would be very gratefully received.
Regards
Michael Tombs, AILAM, Dip. Child Psy., Dip C.D.C.
