For the record:
1) the term "American" occurs in yesterday's posting only as the name of one
of the airlines whose plane was hijacked on Tuesday;
2) the term "AAG," appears only in my e-mail address if at all (this will
depend on how each recipient's software displays addresses);
3) with few exceptions (Adolph Hitler and the like) I deplore lives
foreshortened by any force, at any place, at any time; and
4) I have not devoted considerable energy and time to the International
Geographical Union since 1996 because I define the geographical community in
domestic or even national terms.
6) If leaping to conclusions were an Olympic event, Paul Treanor would be a
gold medallist.
