Dear Colleague
following a very successful course in the SNIFFER risk assessment
methodology, the Merseyside Contaminated Land Officers Group have organised
a two day session in RBCA (Risk Based Corrective Action) for October 22 and
23, 2001. The training will be based on hands instruction in the use of the
RBCA toolkit software developed by Groundwater Solutions Inc., Texas. The
trainer will be Ric Bowers an Environmental Engineer from GSI and the venue
will be at Liverpool Environmental Health Service. The cost (all in) for the
2 days will be £370 reflecting the need to hire in some PC's for day two.
Many consultants use the RBCA methodology and if we, as regulators, are to
properly review and evaluate their work then we need to fully understand the
inputs and outputs to the package and its constraints and limitations. It
is hoped that the course will enable regulators to evaluate consultants work
more effectively and confidently.
Places are limited, so hurry and enroll now. You will not find this type of
hands on course offered by DEFRA, EA or the LGA.
