Reducing inequalities in health & diet: the impact of a food retail
development
We require a research associate to work on a Department of Health
funded pilot project investigating the effects of food retail development
on food consumption, retail access and general health. Duties include
quantitative and qualitative data collection, data analysis, report writing
and conference presentation. The successful applicant will have a PhD
(or equivalent experience) and an interest in the health social sciences
and/or retailing. The post will be based in Glasgow, at the MRC Social &
Public Health Sciences Unit.
This is a full time post for 2 years, falling within Band 4 of the MRC pay
and grading scheme with a starting salary in the region of £21,000 –
£23,000. The starting date will be 7th January, 2002 or by negotiation.
