York University - The Department of Geography invites applications for a
full-time, tenure-track position in Human Geography at the Assistant
Professor level to begin 1 July 2002 (subject to budgetary approval).
Applicants with research and teaching interests in one or more branches
of Human Geography (Economic, Political, Social or Cultural) and with
demonstrated expertise in the application of GIS techniques will be
considered. A Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment. We seek an
individual who will develop a vigorous research programme and who is
prepared to contribute to both undergraduate and graduate teaching that
includes introductory GIS techniques and sub-fields of Human Geography.
