I'm coming to all this a bit late and trying to absorb Rachel's recent

My understanding is that DCMI Period and W3C-DTF are recommended encoding
schemes for _both_ dc:date (and any of the date element refinements i.e.
those properties defined as subproperties of dc:date) _and_ for
dcq:temporal. That is OK, isn't it?
I'm still trying to follow through Rachel's proposals re subclasses and how
this would be represented within her model.
