Lecturer in the Department of Physiotherapy Studies

Due to departmental development a vacancy has arisen for a
Lecturer in the Department of Physiotherapy Studies. The
appointment will be available from 1 September 2001.
Exciting opportunities exist for an enthusiastic, motivated
and experienced individual who has an interest in both
education and research. You will be expected to contribute
to the delivery of the undergraduate and postgraduate
programmes and develop a research portfolio in line with
the research strengths of the department.
You will have excellent presentation, leadership and
communication skills with an ability to motivate others, as
well as work under pressure to meet deadlines. An ability
to work within a multidisciplinary environment is desirable
with a commitment to the professional education of
physiotherapists and allied professions in higher
education. You must also have an interest in
multi-professional learning and teaching and flexible
delivery of courses. In addition, you will also hold, or
be close to completing, a higher degree.
You will be joining a committed and supportive course team
and a Department with a rapidly developing and successful
research and postgraduate portfolio. The subject area of
physiotherapy is well established within the university,
has a very good externally-funded research base and
possesses an excellent clinical education programme with
strong working links with clinical partners.

Salary within the range of Lecturer (£20,267 - £32,215 per
annum), depending on qualifications and experience.
